Philippe Duchein,
There are two watchdogs at your disposal:
- internal IXP CPU watchdog (does not reset certain hardware such as flas=
h which tripped, and will not trip on things like KASSERT's in the kernel w=
hich spin) - there is a watchdog driver for this in the 2.6.x kernel that c=
an be used with a watchdog daemon (enabling CONFIG_WATCHDOG && CONFIG_IXP4X=
X_WATCHDOG and is located in drivers/char/watchdog/ixp4xx_wdt.c)
- the DS1819 that is present on the avila boards, however this requires y=
ou load a resistor on the 2348 boards and requires you write your own drive=
r (not difficult).
