[Avila] Using the compact flash

Hello List,

My onboard flash is working well thanks to recent help. I am wondering now
how to use the compact flash. I'd hoped that I could simply

mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /mnt/cf

but I get:

mount: Mounting /dev/hda1 on /mnt/cf failed: No such device

A quick pointer on how things are supposed to work would help me debug my
problems much more quickly.
