Travis,

You can disable the serial ports (1 or both) by adjusting the cdl_options 'CYGNUM_HAL_ARM_IXP425_SERIAL_CHANELS' in packages/hal/arm/xscale/ixp425/current/cdl/hal_arm_xscale_ixp425.cdl

Simply set 'calculated' to 0, 1, or 2

I would look in this same file for NPE options as this is the config file for the ixp425 boards.

Any idea on how I could go about disabling the RedBoot console altogether, not just from one serial port, and also disabling the NPEs even down to not turning on the LEDs if there is a ethernet link?
