David,
I have just tried 'fis init -f'. it gave me a similar error message
About to initialize [format] FLASH image system - continue (y/n)? y
*** Initialize FLASH Image System
... Erase from 0x50080000-0x50fe0000:
...........................................................Err = a2
initialization failed 0x507e0000: Error trying to erase
... Unlock from 0x50fe0000-0x51000000: .
... Erase from 0x50fe0000-0x51000000: Err = a2
Error erasing FIS directory at 0x50fe0000: Error trying to erase
... Lock from 0x50fe0000-0x51000000: .
In this case, I am going to assume that this is a bad flash and RMA this
unit back to Gateworks. Any other suggestions before sending it back?
Regards,
Ahmet
