[Avila] "flash.exe gw-128.bin v" gives error with default image (gw-128.bin)

I'm programming flash using GW16012 JTAG programmer for Avila GW2348-4=
 board.

I tried to program flash with the default image (gw-128.bin) supplied with=
 Dev kit by Gateworks.

I'm using Qemu to program the flash.

"flash.exe gw-128.bin p" succeeds but "flash.exe gw-128.bin v" shows =A0
       =A0
       "Verify Error: Address: <some address> Actual: FFFF Expected: <some=
 hex>"

Why am I getting this error? What's was wrong in my setup? Am I missing=
 some thing?

Also board doesn't boot at all. I mean no output on hyperterminal.
