I'm trying to rebuild OpenWRT from the trunk (r17456 retrieved via SVN) and am having some problems. If I use the OpenWRT filesystem that comes on the GW2350 unit with my new kernel, everything works well, except that the architecture is detected differently, so opkg will not work. When I use the filesystem built with OpenWRT (at the same time as the kernel), the boot sequence seems to hang for a while (about 5 minutes) trying to initialize eth1, then frees up until I try to view or configure the interfaces manually (just typing "ifconfig" at the console to view the interfaces first). As soon as I hit "ifconfig " the system hangs until I power cycle. The hardware watchdog, which I saw load, does not recycle the unit, the serial console no longer responds and ssh and telnet access attempts fail. Since my kernel works with Gateworks filesystem, there must be something in the newly built filesystem which is causing these issues. Does anyone have any insight into what this problem may be? Does anyone have a trunk and kernel .config from a recent OpenWRT build that is working for them that I can use to compare to my own? None of the ports are passing auto negoatiation and thus falling back to 100 Mbps half duplex mode. 'mii-diag' command could read only first 6 registers, and returns 0xffff for all the remaining registers. Is there any way to know why the LAN ports are not passing auto negoatiation ?. I am trying to use spi_gpio driver to access the KS8995M siwtch but till now no succcess. I know , by default the KS8995 switch should support autonegoatiation. But somwhow it's failing. Any idea ?. I've watched it through the serial monitor as it boots on both boards and it's hanging trying to load the NPE-C firmware for the Wan port. It basically times out 2 times before it successfully loads its on the 3rd attempt. Other three LAN ports are having some kind of problem. Here comes the performance for 4 LAN ports (GW2355 board) Lan port 1 : 80 Mbps Lan port 2 : 27 Mbps Lan port 3 : 27 Mbps Lan port 4 : 27 Mbps Any comments on why ports 2,3 & 4 are under performing ?. Has anybody seen similar behaviour ?. The 4 port switch (KS8995) doesn't have any driver associated with it. The IXP400 driver is configuring it through the MII interface. But it cannot access all the control registers. We need a SPI over GPIO driver to access all the control registers. Regards, Mahesh.
