Oops. Last mail went too early! :)
I use the following commands to load via tftp:
load -r -v -b 0x01600000 zImage
load -r -v -b 0x00800000 ramdisk.gz
exec -c "console=ttyS0,115200 root=/dev/ram0 initrd=0x00800000,8M"
0x01600000
Maybe the locations you're using to load into is affecting the images
ability to boot correctly...
I dont get those messages regarding the addresses..

that came on the cd and have done a build in the snapgear directory. I
have tried to run the resulting images but get an error on statup about
the board type. I used the commands from the
snapgear/Documentation/INTEL-IXDP425-HOWTO . I didn't like the errors
about the bad addresses but I wasn't sure what I should use instead.
