[Avila] watchdog on avila (GW-2348)

Hello!

Is there any software workaround about hanging watchdog on avila
boards (GW-2348) during write to flash?
I found few posts that the internal watchdog resets only cpu but no
external components like flash but I could not find any solution for
this (or I missed something). Even on images from Gateworks BSP (7.1)
watchdog hangs when a write to flash is in progress. In that case,
what can be done about it?
