[Avila] Ubiquiti SR5 radio on GW2348-4

Hi all,

has anyone tested the SR5 Ubiquiti card power transmission on the Avila
GW2348-4?
We misured the power transmitted by this radio with the spectrum analyzer
and we did not see the expected power.

Configuration:

- Avila GW2348-4 powered at 12Vdc or 24Vdc
- Ubiquiti SR5 card
- pigtail UF.L to N
- Linux kernel 2.6.15-uc0 (Gateworks/Snapgear distribution)
- driver madwifi-ng version 0.9.3.1

By setting a tx power of 16 dBm from the linux CLI (iwconfig athX txpower
16) we misured (several times and by different laboratories) at type N
connector:

                                      14.5 dBm

instead of the expected:

        21 dBm = 16 dBm + 7 dBm (offset added by the firmware, according to
Ubiquiti) - 2 dB (at max, for cable and connector)

Where I'm making the mistake? Is the driver version or I miss some other
parameter?

Any help is very welcome and appreciated.
