I'm experiencing a problem with the new B1 version of GW2348-4 boards. RedBoot (v. 2.04) does not respond to ping after the board powers up..
Redboot, before executing the boot script, is supposed to listens to 192.168.3.2 (by
default) on port 9000 for telnet connections.
What I want to do is to enter with Telnet into RedBoot and flash again the board. I keep pinging the board after power up waiting for the first succesful ping, then I launch Telnet.
I have used this procedure with the board equipped the "old" processor and it works well, the board responds to ping immediately after power up.
I have tried this with two boards equipped with the new B1 processor, but I get a "Request timeout" to the ping while the boards powers up. I have also tried to increase the time before RedBoot starts booting the kernel setting it to 8 sec., but still no result.
Anyone is experiencing the same problem?
I have read in the mailing list that there is a bug in some boards with the new processor, could this behaviuor be related to that?
What I'm tring to do is to ceate an automated script to flash a board, via the ethernet port, once I have sealed it into outdoor encolsures (in case I have some problems on the field).

Thank you

Tom
